Alaimo Construction Features
At Legends, our standards are what make us different.
We want you to compare but please make sure you are getting the same quality we provide when doing so.
Standard with Alaimo Enterprises
- Silent Floor System with TJI floor joist and 3/4" Edge Gold underlayment, squeak free guarantee.
- 2"x10" joist with 5/8" plywood meets code but results in squeaking and crowned floors.
- All 6' and wider headers are Microlam LVL or LSL laminated beams.
- 2"x10" and 2" x 8" wide headers can move, shrink and warp. Why take a chance?
- Central Air Conditioning and Gas Fireplace.
- These are probably the most requested options and they're standard here.
- Ceramic tile throughout foyer, kitchen, dinette, rear hall powder room, laundry room and full baths.
- Linoleum is what most builders offer as standard but even upgraded linoleum is not durable.
- Energy Star Rated, includes blower door test to certify Energy Star Rating.
- Shouldn't you be as concerned with the gas consumption of your home as you are with your car?
- Polycell foam sealant around all windows and doors.
- Fiberglass meets code and leaks.
- White Semi Gloss Paint on all trim to contrast with wall colors.
- This is the look most people want. Why should you pay extra?
- 10 Year Power vent hot water tank and 90+ hi efficiency furnace, no flue to waste energy.
- Who wants a 4"- 8" round pipe sending hot air outside all winter and only a 6 year tank?
- Energy Star fan lights in bathrooms and powder room, included even if the room has a window.
- These rooms should vent moisture outside in the winter as well as the summer.
- Pin timer, for fresh air induction, required for Energy Star Certification due to tightness of home.
- Our homes don't leak air the way non Energy Star Rated homes do.
- Energy Star Dishwasher.
- Any appliance we provide will be Energy Star Rated.
- Recessed Door Chime.
- One of those items that should be heard and not seen.
- Platon plus Graywall Waterproofing, two separate systems on every basement.
- A dry basement is very important and should not be optional.
- 8' (12 course equivalent) Steel reinforced, solid concrete foundation walls. Not concrete block.
- Our basements are up 40 times stronger than block construction and are drier.
- 4000 psi fibermesh concrete for porch floor and garage floor with 12" x 12" X-beam under garage floor.
- 3000 psi meets code but we want to make sure that floor doesn't move.
- 18 20'-1/2" reinforcing rods under garage and porch floor.
- Another measure to make sure the floors don't move.
- Blacktop Binder coat driveway and Landscaping allowance.
- These two items give a new section of homes a completed feeling and keep property value up.
